The Highway of Heroes is a stretch of highway 401(busiest highway in North America) located in Ontario between Trenton and Toronto. A total of 138 Canadian soldiers have given their lives during the course of the Afghan war so far. These soldiers have been flown home to Trenton for a repatriation ceremony and then travel with their families along the 401 to Toronto. The highway and bridges are always lined with many ambulances, fire trucks, police cars and thousands of people. All paying their last respects to the fallen soldiers.
